Indian Vacation In Himalayas for Indian Tourist Visa
Himalayas are the abode of Yogis, towering mountains and the ultimate pinnacle of height. We cover Dharamsala, Leh, Assam, Darjeeling and Uttarkhand. We hope you enjoy the post.
The Himalayas in India have always been a wonderful escape from the fast pace of life down in the cities in the plains. Even the British when they ruled India used to move up to the mountains during the summer months in the country when it used to get scorching hot. Today with its enormous hills, which stand near Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak, pristine rivers and waterfalls, lush greenery, the bluest skies, and fresh, clean air, the Himalayas are a huge tourist attraction not just to Indians but also to international tourists who come here to witness the scenic beauty of the states that lie in the lap of these mountains and to engage in such activities as camping, mountain climbing, trekking, paragliding, river rafting, skiing in winters, and other adventure activities. Another attraction is the possibility of taking short term Yoga and meditation courses in a place that is quite serene and peaceful. If you want to visit India and vacation in the Himalayas then we have you covered with this list of the best places you can visit in the Himalayas.
Mcleodganj, Dharamsala

Largely populated by Tibetans who have settled in this scenic town, Mcleodganj, also known as Little Lhasa or Dhasa which is a short form of Dharamsala used by the Tibetans, this hill station is famous not only for its majestic beauty but also for being a popular summer retreat for the British in the past and for being home to His Holiness The Dalai Lama who is the spiritual leader of the Tibetan people, in the present. The culture and atmosphere of the place is a delightful confluence of Tibetan and British.
